Step 1 – Some Important Checks
Perfect Fit blinds are suitable only for uPVC or aluminium framed windows and doors, due to the brackets used. Perfect Fit blinds are not compatible with wood framed windows and doors. Perfect Fit blinds are also unsuitable for any sliding doors as the frame sits proud of the window frame by approximately 12mm. Perfect Fit blinds may also prevent some folding windows/doors from folding completely flat against one another. Please note that Perfect Fit Roller Blinds are unsuitable for bifold doors.

Check that there is a rubber beading between the glass and the window frame. (The rubber beading may be obscured by the frame and difficult to spot.) If there is no rubber beading then Perfect Fit blinds are not suitable for your window.

Perfect Fit blinds are only suitable for windows with a beading depth between 16mm and 38mm (see Step 2 below).

Identify any potential obstructions, such as handles or vents. Measure the distance from the inner edge of the beading (where rubber meets glass) to the nearest point of any obstruction. If the distance is less than 25mm then Perfect Fit blinds are not suitable for your window. We also advise checking the movement of handles to ensure they would not turn into the frame.

Measure the width of the beading from the edge of the frame using a tape measure. Perfect Fit blinds are only suitable if the beading width is less than 6mm.

Take a credit card or similar object and carefully insert it between the glass and the beading. (You can make this easier by first lubricating the card with a small amount of washing up liquid.) If the card cannot be inserted to a depth of at least 10mm then Perfect Fit Blinds are not suitable for your window.
Step 2 – Beading Depth Measurement

Step 2 – Beading Depth Measurement
Take a credit card or similar object and place it flat against the frame so that it partially overlaps the glass. Use a tape measure to measure the gap between the glass and the card. (Depths typically range from 16mm to 38mm.) You will need this measurement when selecting your beading depth for your bracket size as you order your blinds.
Step 3 – Width Measurement

Step 3 – Width Measurement
Measure the width of the pane of glass (not including the beading or window frame) using a steel tape measure. Take the measurement in at least three places where you would like to install your blind. You will use the smallest of these measurements as your width measurement when ordering your blinds.
Step 4 – Drop Measurement

Step 4 – Drop Measurement
Measure the height of the pane of glass (not including the beading or window frame) using a tape measure. Take the measurement in at least three places where you would like to install your blind. You will use the smallest of these measurements as your drop measurement when ordering your blinds.
Step 5 – Ordering

Step 5 – Ordering
When ordering your blinds, enter your glass measurements for the width and drop (from steps 3 and 4) and select the appropriate bracket size (from step 2).
As these are Perfect Fit blinds, we will not make any deductions or additions to your stated measurements when preparing your blinds.
